Two birds with wings of beauty united together and as comrades cling to the same tree.
One of them eats the sweet fruit, the other does not eat and looks about.
There where the birds with wings of beauty, in perfect knowledge, sing their share of immortality.
The Lord and Protector of all the worlds, the Supreme Intelligence, enters into one young and ignorant as I am.
- Rig Veda 1.164.20,21

All this is for habitation by the Lord, whatsoever is individual universe of movement in the universal motion. By that renounced thou shouldst enjoy ; lust not after any man's possession.
One unmoving that is swifter than mind, That the Gods reach not, for It progresses ever in front. That, standing, passes beyond others as they run. In That the Master of Life establishes the Waters.
He in whom it is the Self-Being that has become all existences that are Becomings, for he has the perfect knowledge, how shall he be deluded, whence shall he have grief who sees everywhere oneness ?

RECITATIONS BY THE MOTHER
SAVITRI BOOK 01 CANTO 04
551 There are Two who are One and play in many worlds;
552 In Knowledge and Ignorance they have spoken and met
553 And light and darkness are their eyes’ interchange;
736 The master of existence lurks in us
737 And plays at hide-and-seek with his own Force;
738 In Nature’s instrument loiters secret God.
739 The Immanent lives in man as in his house;
740 He has made the universe his pastime’s field,
741 A vast gymnasium of his works of might.
